MASHARIKI STYLE
All the accessories created are done with the beads from Kenyan handkraft. We use the experience of many different comunities : Kasigau, Kibera, Makobeni and others.
Cow bones example are stockpiled in a shack at the Kibera workshops in Nairobi, Kenya. The bone will be cut and sculpted into various shapes for use in fashion items. Kibera is the largest slum in Africa, home to 1 million people many of whom live in abject poverty. The bone disks can adorn different African range of products and we use mainly for necklaces.
